Copyright

All of the plans on our website are protected by federal copyright law. This means the original designer keeps ownership of the documents, and the plans you purchase are licensed to you for your personal use. They cannot be shared, resold, or used by anyone else.

When you purchase a plan, you receive a limited license to use it for the construction of one home. Buying additional sets or a multi-set package does not extend this license to multiple builds. Reproducible sets, PDFs, and CAD files follow the same rules. Although these formats allow you to print copies for your project team, making copies from a printed blueprint without permission is not allowed.

If you would like to use a plan more than once, simply reach out to the designer. They can provide the appropriate release and licensing for additional builds.

Copyright and licensing help protect both homeowners and designers by ensuring every project is built on professionally created, legally compliant plans. Because copyright law has become more strictly enforced in recent years, unlicensed use of a plan can result in legal and financial penalties. Using your plans within the license terms ensures a smooth and trouble-free building experience.
